When I went to Chinese restaurant for meals, I often notice that the Television is switched on, but nobody is watching. So I was thinking, what a waste of electrical energy is that. It is not that we shouldn’t watch TV during the meal in restaurant since all TV program is trash which is harmful to your intellectual development(which maybe true must of the time in Hong Kong), it is just that the purpose of TV switched on is nullified since nobody can hear what is showing on the TV. The restaurant should understand that is not easy for anyone to watch TV in a crowding and noisy environment, so the TV serve no practical purpose except wasting electrical energy to produce more noise and sound pollution.
But I am not advocating that Chinese restaurant to remove all TV, rather I am looking for a way which to restore the practical usage of TV—To be watched and listened to, preferably in a way that is non-disturbing to other customer. Wouldn’t that be ideal if some customers could choose to watch TV while other concentrate on their meal without regarding any TV shows in TV? Is that technological feasible?
Of course, what we need is just a 1 to n radio-boardcaster and receiver. The boardcaster transform the noise output of TV as radio signal, or directly taking the noise signal from the antenna then transform them as radio signal. Then the receiver is operated as a simple receiver of the radio signal from the boardcaster, thus the customer could request one when they they want to hear what is on in the TV(maybe for additional charge). Thus those who enjoy watching TV can have their meal and watch it, those who prefer meal only without the disturbance of TV doesn’t have to endure annoying noise from TV. And the restaurant can turn the noise volume of TV to zero without annoying those who like to enjoy TV and the meal.
That would be an invention that is easy to built and demanded by every Chinese restaurant! Who would like to try his hand on inventing something that is useful?
